ATC is an active organization dedicated to maintaining the quality of life in the communities of our state by means of law enforcement, education and regulatory efforts with the wholesalers, retailers and consumers of alcohol and tobacco products. We have achieved great success in the last few years through enforcement efforts combined with the outside support of many alliances, groups and individuals in restricting access of these products to our underage youths. These efforts have been greatly enhanced by the legislature passing the Responsible Vendor Act of 1997. This act, which became mandatory in the year 2000, requires the certification of all servers and sellers of alcohol and tobacco products. So far, through private enterprise providers, over 700,000 server and sellers have been certified. The proof of this effort rests in the lower non-compliance rates. We pledge our continued efforts to keep these non-compliance rates as low as humanly possible. With this accomplished, as parents, it now becomes your job to educate your children and to teach them by your example of using these legal products responsibly; and as a licensed retailer, to always abide by the Louisiana Alcohol and Tobacco Control Laws to also sell and serve responsibly. I hope you will find whatever information needed from our website. However, if you do not, we welcome your questions, comments or suggestions and are standing ready to assist you in any lawful process that you are undertaking. |
